The signature drips of the Recovery & Wellness Lounge cost between €129 and €159 per infusion: RESET €129, IMMUNE and ENERGY €139 each, GLOW €149, PREP and RECOVER €159 each. The Luxury Recovery Package around an operation (PREP + RECOVER + lymphatic drainage + LED light therapy) costs €549.

The infusion itself runs for about 30 to 45 minutes. At the first appointment the medical history and the informed-consent consultation are added — allow about one to one and a half hours in total. Follow-up appointments are correspondingly shorter. Straight after the infusion you are fully able to go about your day.

Six signature drips: PREP (preparation for surgery, 1–7 days before the procedure — vitamin C, amino acids), RECOVER (post-operative recovery phase — vitamin C, amino acids), GLOW (beauty — biotin, magnesium, further electrolytes, amino acids), IMMUNE (vitamin C, amino acids), RESET (wellness & hydration — magnesium, further electrolytes, amino acids) and ENERGY (amino acids). The composition is adjusted by a doctor according to the indication — the components named are typical base formulas.

The honest answer: with a balanced diet the body as a rule covers its micronutrient requirement through food, and the scientific evidence for many wellness promises around IV drips is limited. What an infusion reliably provides is a controlled supply of fluid and micronutrients, independently of appetite and gastrointestinal uptake — under medical control. Whether that makes sense in your situation (around an operation, say, or in phases of strain) we clarify in the medical history, with a laboratory analysis beforehand on request.

Three things. First, medical direction — every infusion begins with a medical history and informed consent given by a specialist (Facharzt), not with an order card. Second, the option of a laboratory analysis before therapy begins, so that the composition matches the actual requirement. Third, the setting: the lounge is part of a specialist practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery with sterile technique, continuous monitoring and emergency equipment — and the one type of provider that can co-ordinate PREP and RECOVER directly with your surgical plan under one roof.

Yes — that is exactly what PREP and RECOVER are designed for. PREP is given one to seven days before the operation and aims at good hydration and micronutrient supply before the procedure; RECOVER supports fluid intake and general wellbeing in the recovery phase afterwards. Both are co-ordinated medically with your surgical plan. Important for context: the drips replace neither the regular medical preparation nor the regular aftercare, and we promise no acceleration of wound healing and no reduction of surgical risks.

That is individual and a medical recommendation, not an automatic subscription. Some aims are covered by a single infusion (PREP before an operation, for example), others argue for a series. In the medical history we set the rhythm and the duration together and review the recommendation as things go on.

Carried out by a doctor with sterile technique, the procedure is low-risk. Typical and harmless: a small bruise at the puncture site, a feeling of pressure or cold during the infusion, and rarely a brief circulatory reaction. Rare: irritation of the vein (phlebitis) or solution leaking into the tissue. Very rare: allergic reactions — which is why all infusions take place at the practice with medical supervision and emergency equipment. With heart or kidney disease the volume and electrolyte load can matter; the mandatory medical history clarifies that.

Not suitable with cardiac insufficiency or advanced impairment of kidney function, severe electrolyte disturbances, known intolerances to individual components, or during acute febrile infections; in pregnancy and breastfeeding only after strict medical consideration. We give high-dose vitamin C only once a G6PD deficiency has been ruled out and where kidney function is intact. And: persistent exhaustion should be assessed by a doctor first — an infusion replaces no diagnostic work-up.

It is not mandatory — the medical history before every infusion is the standard. We recommend a laboratory analysis (e.g. vitamin D status, ferritin, kidney values) where there is a specific suspicion of a deficiency, where high-dose vitamin C is planned, or where you would like the composition matched to measured values rather than to standard formulas. The result feeds directly into the doctor's composition of your drip.

The Luxury Recovery Package accompanies your operation before and after the procedure: a PREP drip in the days before surgery, a RECOVER drip in the recovery phase, complemented by manual lymphatic drainage and LED light therapy. Scheduling and composition are co-ordinated medically with your surgical plan. The package costs €549.

For two reasons — one legal, one ethical. First, the German Heilmittelwerbegesetz (§ 11 HWG, the Health Advertising Act) prohibits advertising surgical plastic procedures with before-and-after photographs on publicly accessible websites — a rule in force since 2012 that protects patients from distorted promotional depictions. Second, we respect our patients' privacy: even where written consent exists, many would rather intimate photographs of their body did not circulate on the open web. What you can expect instead: in the personal initial consultation (€100) we show you anonymised examples from our own practice documentation — matched to your indication, your build and your aesthetic goal. Those images are shown with the written consent of the patients concerned, exclusively within the protected setting of the consultation, and are never published online. You get a realistic sense of what to expect without anyone having to give up their privacy for someone else's advertising.

Three objective criteria help you get your bearings. First, the specialist qualification: "Facharzt für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie" is a legally protected German specialist title requiring several years of specialist training — unlike general, unprotected descriptions such as "cosmetic surgeon". Second, membership of a medical professional society such as the DGPRÄC (the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons), which requires binding professional standards and continuous further training. Third, the quality of the consultation: a reputable practice takes its time, is honest about risks, alternatives and realistically achievable results, and does not push you towards a decision.
